Cadet Corner

As a Cadet progresses from C4C to C1C, there are some notable events and accomplishments along the way:

Acceptance Day - August
This represents a Doolie's first achievement at USAFA.  It formalizes their transition from basic trainees to cadet fourth class as the complete BCT, or Basic Cadet Training.

Recognition Day - March
This event marks the first major milestone for freshmen as they transition from fourth-class cadets, or C4Cs, to the status of upper classmen.

Exemplar Dinner - Fall
As third-class cadets, C3Cs will choose someone that "exemplifies" the core values of USAFA.  This milestone will be commemorated at a formal dinner supported by the Spirit Mission Committee.

Commitment Dinner
As second-class cadets, C2Cs attend the Commitment dinner to celebrate their commitment to serve time in the active duty Air Force.  Legacy Class members are invited to attend.

Ring Dance
For the C2Cs, Ring Dance takes place the Friday evening prior to Graduation for the current class.  Members of the Legacy Class are again invited to attend the Dining-Out where they eat, listen to a guest speaker, and the Graduating Class watch the C2Cs receive their rings.

100's Night and Graduation
For the C1Cs, 100's Night takes place approximately 100 nights before graduation.  It is an opportunity for the first-class cadets to join with the Legacy Class and celebrate 100 days to graduation and commission as second lieutenants.  Cadets also receive their base assignments and are given liberty for the weekend to celebrate.
